Waterproofing a shower doesn’t need to be crazy expensive. Dense sheild and some red gaurd will do really well if you’re on a tighter budget. #creatorsearchinsights #DIY #tips #tutorial #homeimprovement

This is a repost from 2023 when island outlets were “okay” but because rules have changed with outlets in the island I thought it would be fun to troll some know it all sparkys into commenting. Waterproofing our 1912 Basement with Ames Blue Max. This is a liquid rubber waterproofing. It’s user friendly, simply spray, roll or brush on. Any smaller voids can be filled with their Blue Max In A Caulk Tub. I had a few larger voids that needed to be repaired. That process is called Tuck-pointing. Removing the old loose mortar joints and replacing with fresh using a grout bag and tuck-pointing knife to make it smooth. The last step in the basement project was to paint the floor. We used Ames Safe-T-Deck, it’s a granulated paint that goes right on the concrete. This makes it anti-slip and the color with our white walls was a perfect match. Comment “shop” and we’ll send you the link to everything used

Fixing up the back entry way at our rental property. This has been an eye sore for far too long. We started by building a small retaining wall to hold all our mulch in. We used some 8” block and construction adhesive to hold everything together. We needed to add several inches of back fill to get it slopping away from our foundation. Once that was addd see we put down some fabric to ensure we don’t get weeds. Several big bags of mulch and a nice planter to finish off the look. The before and after is nice and simple, exactly what we wanted. #creatorsearchinsights #DIY #tips #tutorial #homeimprovement #landscaping
