Happy World Down Syndrome Day! 💙💛 Cameron surprised us with a Down syndrome diagnosis at birth. He was a normal PGT tested (IVF) embryo. My NIPT test came back low risk for Trisomy 21. There were no markers of Down syndrome during any of my anatomy scans. Hours after he was born, his pediatrician requested a Karyotype test after seeing makers for DS. The week wait for the results seemed like an eternity. Cam decided he wanted to hide his extra chromosome the entire pregnancy and that’s ok lol. Fast forward 5 months- Cameron is thriving! We celebrate him and every milestone he reaches no matter how big or small. He reminds us everyday of how lucky we are that he’s here.
