No more heat shrink connections for me! • I saw this @SpliSeal.com @semashow and was sold on it! • The heatgun runs on @RYOBI Tools USA batteries which they include in the kit but I wanted to use the more powerful new Edge battery • Make you connection as it heats up, spray some mold release in the mold and put in your connection • Clamp it shut and inject the sealant. A minute later it’s ready to go • This will be clutch when I wire the @Diode Dynamics lights on the 4Runner, it even makes me want to redo all my wiring on the Tacoma . . . #tools #construction #tacoma #gearwrench #wiring #spliseal

Still a bit to cold to turn on the outside tap but I’m eager to try this Makita 40v pressure washer so I’ll use a bucket • On high hooked up to the house tap it will do 1,668 PSI and 1.85 GPM They say runtime of up to 60min with two 5.0Ah batteries • It comes with 2 nozzles, one adjustable one which I used on this video and then a turbo sprayer to get off the stubborn stuff • Once it warms up I will start washing some cars and post more on it @Makita Tools USA . . . #tools #construction #makita #makitapartner #wash #clean #pressurewashing

Let the 4Runner build begin! Last year we teamed up with @gearwrenchtools to do a 2023 Tacoma that we took to @SEMA Show • This year we are doing a 2021 4Runner • First we gotta change these headlight to the @AlphaRexUSA Nova series Way brighter and they have a very cool startup sequence and daytime running light • Funny that once again we had to pull the bumper to change the headlight assembly but it was pretty easy and as you guys know I really enjoy working on vehicles with my Dad • A lot more to come every Saturday! Changing the taillights on the 4Runner is much easier than changing them on the front • These are the LUXX series from @AlphaRexUSA and as you can see it’s a couple bolts and they are completely plug and play • All that’s needed for this one is the @gearwrenchtools ratchet, extension and socket. I finally put a cap on my worktruck • I went with the @smartcap EVOa Adventure • It comes in a box and has some assembly. The most important part is to torque it properly. Installed some aluminum exhaust ports for these bay doors @ExceedAutomotive • Used a @SpyderProducts 4-1/2” tarantula holesaw and as you can see it made quick work, it’s nice not having to dig the material out either • Used this absolute powerhouse @Hilti North America 4 speed drill, Hilti has one of the best anti kickback systems I’ve used but I still like to run the side handle with the type of power this drill puts out • Now they can run cars with the hose hooked up to the exhaust while keeping the doors closed . . . #tools #construction #automotive #mechanic #hiltipartner #spyderpartner #spyderproducts #hilti #hiltitools

I had the chance to try out the New Hilti DD 150-U-22 @worldofconcreteshow and it did not disappoint • We have always ran solid bits for drilling into foundation walls to add intakes and vents for new furnaces. Sunday Funday at our rental house! • This old sink and taps was hurting and needing to go, plus the sink was cracked • Tossed in a new vanity with sink and taps. Also cleaned up all that plumbing. • The 6” @Crescent Tools was perfect for getting in the tight spot. • The water main is now enclosed in the vanity but I had to make a little not with the Makita XGT barrel grip jigsaw to get it in • This 100 year old house needs a lot of love in little places so I’ll be picking away at it over the summer @makitatools @makita.ca . . . #house #construction #tools #crescenttools #makitatools #bathroom

2 year followup! I was having trouble with wind driven rain coming in these doors as well as them occasionally freezing to the floor in winter • I ordered these seals off Amazon and I’m extremely happy with how they have held up • The big thing is the prep, I used this Makita grinder to give the adhesive a good surface to stick too @Makita Tools USA @Makita Canada Inc. . . . #tools #garage #construction #makitatools

Quick classic cardboard winter front for the crazy cold we are going through • A lot of the folks down south won’t know what this is but we are experiencing some down to -43°c (-45°f) without out the windchill this last week and using a cover or cardboard to block the front helps keep the warm air in which keeps things warmer • This really works great for highway driving, I put it in front of the radiator leaving as much room between the two as possible • Using the Makita 12v multi cutter to make quick work of this thick cardboard @makitatools @makita.ca

There are some tools that when you use you think man this makes it to easy, that’s how I feel about boxes for coating • I coated with a knife and pan for ages, started using a hawk and trowel and that sped things up but for bigger jobs the boxes can’t be beat. • I’ve had this @gracopaintsprayers pump that runs on Dewalt batteries for a couple years. Big fan of how well it works • Obviously I’m a fan of the @level5tools boxes too • If you are wondering why so few screws it’s because the boards are glued to the studs, this basement was spray foamed so no vapor barrier on exterior was needed and we glued it all. • Glueing obviously cuts done on acres needed but it’s also stops nail pops down the road too . . . #tools #construction #drywall #basement #renovation
