Flag Day x 250 Years of the U.S. Army 🇺🇸 During Special Forces readiness training, we were put through a downed pilot simulation—and there was one rule: don’t let the flag touch the ground. If it did, we’d all pay hell. That wasn’t about punishment—it was about honor. A Green Beret leading the event got emotional telling us about the day he had to ship his teammates home… in flag-draped coffins. That moment stays with me. Because to us, the flag isn’t just fabric—it’s a symbol of every man and woman who bled, fought, or died to protect the freedoms we live under today. It represents sacrifice. It represents legacy. It represents home. That’s why, while I respect peaceful protest, I’ll never be okay with spitting on or burning the flag. There are other ways to express frustration. But desecrating the very symbol that gives you the right to protest—that’s crossing a line. Today marks both Flag Day and the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. Take a moment to reflect. To honor. And to remember that our freedom was never free. #usarmy #flagday
