Living the dream ❤️🥲 Often the most memorable and meaningful childhood memories are not made up of a few big moments, but many small ones. Even these little father and son moments on the playground can become so meaningful. these days are even more special as I and I are expecting another child on the way in October, so we want to do our best to love on our son, as we prepare to welcome into our family our baby girl. These little moments are the ones I love the most ❤️ It is a special treat for my son to eat out, so we had such an amazing father and son bonding time chomping down on some burgers and fries together. (Abide has a dairy allergy and doesn’t like bread, so he just sent it with the patty and fries.) Living in the the good ol’ days ❤️ This was our first time fishing, we had no idea what we were doing, but had an absolute amazing time doing it together. Growing up my dad did an amazing job providing for our family, he truly all he could. But, because of this he wasn’t able to be around to do father and son things with sports or to teach me things like fishing. Now that I am dad, I have an even greater appreciation for how my dad provided for us, but have quickly realized that I can’t teach my son things I don’t know. It’s been very humbling to learn things I feel like I should already be teaching, but it’s been so worth it. After a lot of Youtube and ChatGPT, I was finally able to take my son out to try our hand at fishing. I realized youtube can’t replace experience, as fumbled with the fishing lines and knotts….I literally felt like a fish out of water…ahah! ButC Abide had an absolute blast and couldn’t wait to go back. I can tell we will make many memories fishing together at a pond or lake like this in the future. I hope we never forget these sweet little days together ❤️ My son Abide’s favorite things right now are his toy cars, so when we went to the park and stumbled upon a car show in the field, we were so excited!!! We got to look at every car together, and one of the hosts was even kind enough to let him sit in his big truck. It doesn’t get much better than this ❤️🥲 Playing basketball together is probably our favorite dad & son bonding activities right now, and he is getting better and better at it. May these little memories last a lifetime ❤️🏀 My son says his favorite sport is basketball, so as you have seen we have go to our local courts for a lot of father and son hooping. It’s extra special to me because basketball is also my favorite sport too. But, he is much better at it than I was growing up. The kid is a bucket. I am so proud of him for how quickly he is learning to the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. He is now also progressing into dunking too. He’a got bunnies. I wasn’t very good, but I remember having a red hat I designated as my baseball hat that I wore all the time, and little glove. These simple days are so special to me ❤️🥲 Some of my best memories as a kid was being outdoors and exploring. So it was even more special and important to me to take my son to our local hunting store to get him ready for our future father and son adventures together. He was so curious and into it.
