What in the new launch is this!!!! L’Oreal dropped the L’Oreal Elvive Glycolic Gloss shampoo & conditioner so I bought it (at Walmart for $10…) but was not expecting this 🤩 Tbh I haven’t really been obsessed with any of the elvive shampoo & conditioner sets before. I’ve always been more impressed with ever pure but this feels elevated!!! My entire feed is flooded with videos of people buying the L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo & conditioner for hair growth… but this system was not formulated to promote hair growth, reduce shedding, or impact the hair growth cycle in any way. L’Oreal Dream Lengths has the word “lengths” in the name because the system was formulated to protect your damaged lengths from breakage. Something that’s super important (and basically the whole point of my haircare routine), but has nothing to do with hair growth or hair loss. Whether it’s called a “conditioner” or “hair mask” really doesn’t matter… both products serve the same purpose: to condition, soften, smooth & detangle our hair so that it’s easier to brush through after washing. Neither is inherently better than the other- it really just comes down to what works best for your hair! Traditionally conditioners were lighter than masks making them better for fine/thin hair & masks were thicker than conditioners making them better for coarse/thick hair but this isn’t always the case anymore. I have tried conditioners that are more conditioning than hair masks, hair masks that are lighter than conditioners, conditioners that are thicker than masks, so I really don’t pay much attention to the name the product is given. What matters most is the results they give, not what they’re called! #conditioner #hairmask #hairroutine

This is one of my favorite visuals to explain why just shampooing the outer parts of your hair can prevent you from getting a thorough scalp cleanse & as a result… cause a lot of issues. If you notice your hair looking greasy really quickly after washing, never quite feeling “clean”, or scalp concerns like itching, irritation, scaling and flaking, pay attention to how you shampoo your hair the next time you’re in the shower! If you find yourself rushing through the process or only massaging shampoo onto the top and sides of your hair, implementing these techniques could make a big difference in the results you get after wash day and how healthy your scalp looks and feels. The shampoo you use is equally as important, but so many people solely focus on that and forget the importance of proper shampoo technique! If I used one of my favorite shampoos for 20 seconds I’d have a VERY different result than if I used that same shampoo for 200 seconds. (200 is just an example not the law lol- total time needed will vary depending on hair density). The last tip I forgot to mention in this video that I’ve always found to be helpful is just rinsing and repeating (or shampooing 2x). I’ve always done this because it forces me to take more time with the shampoo process so that I get as thorough a clean as possible. #shampoo #washday #hairhacks

I’ve been asked if these OGX oils have heat protection many times… and I had a hunch that they did… but I never saw that claim listed anywhere so I assumed they hadn’t been tested for that claim. But I just found out that the Coconut Miracle Oil, Argan Oil of Morocco Oil, & Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Penetrating Oil all protect from up to 450° of heat!! I don’t use oil as my sole source of heat protection, but I I know a lot of you love putting oil on wet hair and I also love the idea of having extra protection in my hair for heat styling between washes. If you can only go longer between washes by using dry shampoo… you haven’t actually “trained” your hair. You’re just using something that makes your hair look less greasy than it would’ve without it so that waiting to wash is more doable.
