I’m grateful for everything nursing taught me on my road to becoming a physician (and it helped a TON in med school). If you’re dreaming of more and are interested in this route, I want you to know it’s possible. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. To any nurse thinking, “Could I become a doctor?”—yes, you absolutely can. Your experience, compassion, and work ethic are strengths. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re starting from behind. You’re just starting from experience. And don’t even think you’re too old—because you can be 40 and a doctor, or 40 and wishing you had gone back. Either way, the time will pass. Do it for YOU. Keep going. That dream in your heart? It’s there for a reason. #nurse #nursetok #nursesoftiktok #nursing #medical #doctor #FromNurseToDoctor #RNToMD #Inspiration #motivation #live #HolyFireball
Replying to @appleuser68624456 They told me med school wasn’t realistic. That I should ‘just go the NP route’—because I was a nurse, because I was older, because it was safer. But deep down, I knew I wanted to become a doctor. Nurses already think critically, lead, and care deeply. So if med school has ever crossed your mind, this is your sign: you can do it. Your nursing degree isn’t the end of the road—it’s just the beginning. Don’t let anyone put you in a box. #nurse #nursing #medical #physician #medicalschool #school #nursingschool #doctor #medschool #graduation #md #momlife #success #motivation #hardwork #goals #medicine #whitecoat #doctorlife #inspiration #dreambig
They said med schools would look down on nurses—but in every interview, being a nurse was my biggest strength. Interviewers loved that I came from a nursing background. It gave me real-world experience, leadership stories, and clinical judgment that you just can’t fake. I answered nearly every interview question with a scenario from my time as a nurse—whether I was helping in a code, leading the team, or thinking on my feet to save a patient. Nursing didn’t hold me back. It made me stand out. #nurse #nursing #nursingschool #doctor #medical #medicalstudent #fromnursetodoctor #medschoolinterview #obgyn #medtok #nontraditionalstudent #match2025 #motivation #premed
Being a nurse first taught me everything, including how to be a better doctor. No healthcare system could function without nurses. #nurse #nursetok #nursesweek #holyfireball #live
Replying to @Shadow There’s so much I will miss about being a nurse—especially the time I had to truly be with my patients. I used to spend 12-hour shifts caring for just a handful of people, learning their stories, holding their hands through the hardest moments, and really being present. Now, as a doctor, I’ll be responsible for 50+ patients a day. The pace is faster, the decisions are heavier, and sometimes I miss the slower, deeper connections I had at the bedside. But I’m also so grateful. Grateful that I still carry those nursing instincts, that I know how to comfort, advocate, and notice the small things others might miss. Those skills will always be a part of who I am—and I know they’ll serve me well for the rest of my career. From one side of the stethoscope to the other, I’ll never forget where I started. 💉🩺❤️ #nurse #nursing #nursesoftiktok #nursetok #doctor #physician #medicalschool #student #medicalstudent #medical #ma #cna
Four years might feel like a long time—but in the span of your whole life, it’s nothing. Life goes by fast. So if there’s a path you’ve been thinking about—medicine, nursing, law, art, anything—take it. The time will pass either way. So take the road that leads you to the life you actually want. Even if it’s harder. Even if it’s longer. Because waking up every day knowing you went for it? That’s worth everything. #nurse #nursingschool #nursetok #nursesoftiktok #doctor #physician #medicalschool #medical #nursetodoctor #rntomd #believe #inspire #motivation
