With two young kids, pool safety is our TOP priority. Here are the things we do to keep our kids safe with having a pool. If you have kids/grandkids and a pool, this is a MUST. Liv saw as a PICU nurse that drowning can happen to any family! Don't think it can't happen to yours. • Katch a kid net on the pool AT ALL TIMES when not in use. It takes 5-7 minutes to put on and off. So worth your time. • Door chimes that are loud and can be heard throughout the house. Ours even tells us which door was opened. • Top locks and knob covers on all exterior doors • Designated camera just at the pool with motion notifications to our phone •Our kids are young, but they are never allowed outside unattended. • No standing or playing near the pool. Strict rule in our home • Swim lessons, starting at a young age! Can also buy a pool alarm that notifies if something hits the surface! Drowning is the leading cause of death in children under 5.
