While Fidel was detained and awaiting deportation, fishing was our escape. It was one of our favorite things to do as a family and we loved it including Fidel. So I kept our poles and tackle box in my trunk and anytime Diego or I needed it we stopped and got the ingredients for bologna sandwiches, snacks and drinks and went fishing.
