What CPU should I get? The @AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D continues to be my top recommendation for primarily gaming and general PC use. There are much better options out there for multi-threaded applications like the 285K & 9950X, as well as Ryzen Threadripper. For more affordable CPUs consider the Ryzen 5 9600X or 265K.
