We came across this small restaurant in Seoul that specialises in Korean stews and it was definitely a bittersweet meal as it was the last one we had before heading back to Auckland, and it we loved it. You’ll see pots of stews being cooked over a large flame. They have a small menu offering but they do it so well. We got Kimchi Jiggae and Sundubu Jiggae which were so comforting and flavourful. It also comes with a bunch of banchan and rice so you’re getting your money’s worth. One of the places we miss the most from our trip. 📍12 Jong-ro 16-gil, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea Sundubu Jiggae (Spicy Soft Tofu Stew)- ₩7,000 Kimchi Jiggae (Kimchi Stew) - ₩8,000 #koreanfood #seoulfoodspots #cheapeats #seouleats #soups #seoul #foodtiktok

We were running out of things to do in Wellington and ended up at @carlucciland_minigolf ⛳️ We absolutely loved the wasteland vibe it had going on and found the courses super fun and at times very challenging for something that looks so simple 😭 It’s $15 per adult (or $10 for kids) so this was money well spent over some fun competition #wellington #thingstodoinwellingtom #travelideas #cheapactivities #wellingtonactivities #nzmustdo #nz
This might be Wellington’s best spot for Kebabs, and as someone from Auckland I’m incredibly jealous we don’t have Morteza because those portions are incredible. We got a lamb wrap filled so generously it’s almost like they were doing charity work. But if you though that was a show stopper their Beef Kofta Iskandar took it to the next level. All the rice, meats, vegetables, hummus, and sauces really made for a delicious, balanced and incredibly satisfying meal. Which one would you get? 📍183 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington 6021 Instagram: @mortezasaebouri • Beef Kofta Iskandar - $22 (added extra Falafel) • Lamb Wrap - $17.5 *Combo with Wrap, Soft Drink and Chips - $25 #wellingtonfood #wellingtoneats #nzmustdo #nz #foodtiktok #cheapeats #kebabs #wellington #nzfood #travel
[AD] Best Māori Kai and Hāngī we’ve had so far! Thank you Aunt’y Enah for giving us the goods because we loved every bite. That Hāngī was cooked to perfection with the vegetables, stuffing and mix-ins of juicy meats and if that wasn’t already amazing they put it into a pie! Doesn’t get more Kiwi than that. Don’t not skip out on their other items like their comforting seafood chowder and creamy pāua which was my personal favourite, and when paired with the crispy and fluffy Fry bread, it’s just perfection. It’s a home-business/pop-up so definitely check out their Insta for more details on getting this amazing spread. 📍 Mangare for Pick Up @Aunty_Enahskai Instagram: @aunty_enahs_hangi • Hāngī w/ Frybread - $16 • Hāngī Pie • Creamy Pāua + 1 Frybread - $20 • Seafood Chowder + 1 Fribread - $16 #hangi #maorifood #nzfood #aucklandeats #cheapeats #hiddengems #auckland #foodtiktok
Don’t you love Auckland’s ever increasing diversity of cuisines? We saw there was a pop-up called Anne’s Kitchen that’s cooking up delicious and comforting Lao food. You won’t find this at a restaurant because it’s quite literally in someone’s backyard! Talk about a hidden gem 🇱🇦 You can get Beef Noodle Soup and Skewers but you’ll have to pre-order ahead of time before coming in. But definitely check out their socials on Instagram to find out when their next pop-up is gonna happen next. 🍲 📍 Onehunga, Auckland, NZ, 1010 (full address given when pre-ordered) IG: @anneskitchen_akl • Lao Style Pho - $20 • Beef BBQ - $3ea • Pork BBQ - $3ea • Jeow Som Sauce - $3
KooKoo on Dominion Road has quickly become one of my favourite Korean spots in Auckland for their juicy and flavourful Korean Roast Chicken. You don’t often see this style of chicken around here so it’s quite the unique spot and it’s also really good for those nice but not too fancy dinners. I’ve been here for Valentine’s day, catching up with friends and now with my brother post-workout..yay… We love the variety of foods on their menu so makes it easy to come back and try something new. 📍 245 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024 Instagram: @kookoo.nz • Tofu Kimchi - $17 • Soft Egg Custard (Gyeran Jim) - $14 • Seasoned Rice - $4 • Half Cheese Buldak Roast Chicken - $26 • Half Gochu Basak Roast Chicken - $25 #koreanfood #koreanroastchicken #aucklandeats #aucklandfood #nzfoodies #foodtoktok #buldakchicken #mukbang

Eating Ramen at the Han River should be on your bucket list when visiting Seoul. It’s a chill and wholesome activity to do with friends and super cheap too! Just find any convenience store by the Han River and most of them will have variety of different instant noodles to choose from and you might as well add some additional toppings like eggs, cheese and meats to jazz it up. We recommend going at night and head to the 7/11 by the Banpo Hangang Park so you can also watch the Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain Show. 📍7-Eleven Seoraenaru Branch, Olympic-Daero, Seocho District, Seoul, South Korea #ramen #koreanfood #cheapeats #seoulfood #instantnoodles #mukbang #seouleats #hanriver
We drove out for this Korean Chinese restaurant and it was definitely the long-ish drive out to Browns Bay! Dong Chun Hong is a local gem to the area and it gets super busy really quick and for good reason. Love that they have meal sets like the ‘couple’ set which comes with the big 3 - Jjajangmyeon, Jjampong, and Tangsuyuk. If you haven’t had it before you’ve probably seen it in Kdramas and they are ultra-comforting dishes. Definitely looking forward to our next visit so we can try some new dishes in this genre of food that we are yet to try such as the Chili Shrimp and Brasied Sea Cucumber! 📍 Shop 14, 12-18 Inverness Road, Browns Bay • Fried Pork Dumpling (Mandu) - $15 • Couple Set (Jjajangmyeon, Jjampong & Tangsuyuk) - $65 #koreanfood #koreanchinesefood #aucklandeats #aucklandfood #nzfood #chepeats #nzfoodspots #noodles #jjajangmyeon #mukbang
We visited one of Wellington’s most iconic steakhouses, El Matador 🥩 Not just ordinary steak but Argentinian BBQ Steak that’s cooked over a traditional Perilla BBQ. Banh Mi Delicious has become one of our favourite spots in Auckland for their affordable Banh Mi and it’s just a small but humble food truck outside Lynn Mall 🇻🇳 They offer a variety of vietnamese dishes from Bún Riêu, Spring Rolls but our go-to is the Banh Mi and Vietnamese Iced Coffee Combo for $18 🥖 The baguette has that perfect crunchy exterior whille the inside is still fluffy and soft (so no choking here!). We also loved the ratio of the fillings from your meat of choice, pickled vegetables, pate, mayonnaise, and chilli which we can’t get enough off. 🔥 📍 4 Memorial Drive, New Lynn, Auckland 0600 • Banh Mi and Vietnamese Iced Coffee Combo - $18 (Individual Banh Mi - $13) • Bún Riêu - $20 • Fresh Prawn Spring Rolls - $10 (3pcs) #vietnamesefood #aucklandfoodspots #aucklandeats #aucklandfood #asianfood #cheapeats #streetfood #nztiktok #fyp #banhmi #coffee
