Why your child’s shot is off… Let’s break down shot line vs target line. The target line is an imaginary straight line from the middle of the rim all the way out to the shooter. The shot line is the path the ball travels during a players shot from their starting point up into their release point If your child’s shot line doesn’t start or follow that target line — they’re already off before the ball leaves their hand. Younger players can’t afford to have the ball start inside their body or drift across their face. Their set point and release are lower, so there’s less room for error. Older players might get away with a crooked shot line and still be consistent - Young players will struggle more. Start the ball on the target line. Keep it on the line. Finish on the line. That’s how you build a clean, consistent shot from a young age and begin shooting the ball straight - more Tag a young hooper who needs this ‼️ Youth Shooting Programs in Bio 🔗
